Cooper is a lifelong creative born and raised in Rhode Island. His acting experience spans over a decade and a half, enabling him to play some of his favorite roles such as Gabey (On the Town), The Baker (Into the Woods), Jean Valjean (Les Misérables), and The Beast (Beauty and the Beast). In high school, he won the 2018 Sondheim Award for Best Actor and was nominated for the 2018 Jimmy Awards for his performance as the Beast.
In college, Cooper worked as an actor, composer, songwriter, technical director, professional singer, and music director. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Brown University in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Apart from his work as a performer, Cooper's compositional works have also gained acclaim. He has written the music and lyrics for children's musicals Frieze Frame (2024) and Rock Show (2022), the latter of which won Broadway World's award for Best New Play or Musical in Rhode Island. Right now, Cooper is performing in Speakeasy Die Softly at Carmine’s in Times Square, composing independently for musical theatre, and working as a stagehand for various Broadway and Off-Broadway productions.
